An international, age-unrestricted competition for two- to eight-channel fixed-media electroacoustic works built chiefly from PTC’s instrumental sound bank.

CAD 45, non-refundable; discretionary waiver may be requested

Attendance

Finalist works are concert-presented; composer attendance is not stated. Commission residents attend a 10-day Montréal residency with travel at their own expense

Eligibility

Professional composers of any age, nationality or aesthetic; one unpublished fixed-media work created mainly from the supplied PTC sound bank

Guaranteed support

Prizes of CAD 2,500, 1,500 and 1,000 plus special prizes; three commissions; 10-day Espace Totem residency with accommodation and stay; CD release opportunities
